Are you in a place where someone you love has embraced a homosexual or transgender identity, or they are struggling with same-sex attraction? Are you uncertain about how to show love in a situation that may seem contrary or challenging to your Christian beliefs? Are you searching for people with whom you can share this pain and uncertainty? We invite you to join one of Path of Life's Friends & Family Group options for those who have loved ones struggling with or embracing LGBTQ feelings or identity.

Groups meet weekly at Path of Life for a period of eight weeks. Both day time and afternoon groups are offered. You can sign up on this website by clicking on Events.
Hope Group is a 15-week zoom group that Path of Life does in conjunction with Portland Fellowship (Portland, OR) and Tower of Light Ministries (Seattle, WA). This group addresses topics such as Disclosure and Grief, Family Dynamics, Biblical Sexuality, Effective Communication and more. The video series features testimonies from parents and teachings from Portland Fellowship staff and leaders. Lessons include printable PDF worksheets that are processed as a group. This group begins each fall, although you can sign up at any time, and meets weekly. The course fee is $50 for all 15 sessions, but scholarships are available. Reclaim, Restore, and Rebuild: Learning you have a family member who identifies as gay, lesbian, non-binary, or transgender can be a confusing, difficult, and isolating experience, especially for Christians. Family members are often left feeling alone and uncertain about how to best respond to their loved one's choices. For these family members, Path of Life offers an eleven-week Support Group: Reclaim, Restore, and Rebuild. This group provides a safe place for family members to process through the grief, confusion, and practical issues that inevitably arise when a family member announces they are gay, lesbian, non-binary, or transgender. This Bible-centered study offers education, community, practical wisdom, and hope to family members as they learn to trust God with the life of their loved one.
